Only in 11/2002 the Hotel Stadt Altona reopened. It has been neatly renovated. However, the house still shows its typical 1960ies style. When it was built in 1963, nobody could really tell about the lasting qualities of the location. Now we know, that it has been put on a perfect spot: near St. Pauli and its roaring night-life and just a  short walk from the river and the famous fish-market. All great musicals of  Hamburg are just five minutes away.

Back in the hotel, you find bright rooms with modern standards. They all have showers or bathtubs and TV. On the ground floor of Hotel Stadt Altona there are grand halls and cosy club-rooms which serve as a perfect framing for meetings and parties of all kinds. And if you rent a room in one of the top floors or visit the roof-terrace, you can enjoy the beautiful view over some colourful areas of Hamburg and the port with all its cranes.

At the same time, the service of the house is more personal than one might exspect by looking at the category. There is a 24h presence in the lobby. There are lifts, an underground parking as well as parking lots in front of the building and free internet access (WLAN) in the lobby.

A regular restaurant business, the redesign of the fireside-parlour and other innovations which make your stay even more pleasant, are currently planned and may be ready when you arrive.
